The 35th annual Cooma Easter Classic ran from the 30th March 2018 to 2nd April 2018.
Friday saw the Perazzi 20 gauge NSW state selection 75 target event A high country Autumn day put on perfect conditions for shooting.High Gun Andrew Bell one out on the day with a 64 over the 3 rounds. C grade went to Rowan Venables with a standout .
Saturday was another cracking day to shoot the NSW state Selection over 100 targets and the first leg of the Cooma Easter Classic.
Rob Passarin took out the high gun with 86 points, while Wayne Lieshout took out AA grade also on 86 points.
Sunday’s second leg of the Cooma Easter Classic saw Wayne Lieshout take the two day high gun with 171 points . AA grade was hotly contested with Andrew Garvie and Brett Inch taking 1st and second on 168 points.
A special prize was awarded to our oldest shooter Hugh Fairfield-Smith who, at 86, completed the two day event.
Monday’s NSW state Side by Side championship
Jason Mouheit took out c grade on his first attempt with a side by side shotgun, which also saw him win the tri-gun challenge (20 gauge, over/under and side by side) for 2018. The other highlights were Daniel Davis shooting a 62 in Sub Juniors, and the high gun winner Andrew Bell on 64. The springing Teal challenge was won by Dennis Dinte on 32 points
