BIRDS FROM THE SKY

Shoot report- February 2015

Towers- Sponsored by Mark Corbett and Snowy River Tyre Power Jindabyne.

After a fairly mediocre week of weather on the Monaro we were blessed with a beautiful day on Sunday. Mark Corbett set up a great course for what he claims to be his last sponsorship. The club has acquired 1 new tower and with the elevated work platform donated for the day by Fairidge “Corbo” was able to set up 4 towers incorporating 48 tower targets for the day.

The tower targets mixed with a combination of other targets, including a very close rabbit (that seemed to be causing all sorts of problems) provided a good humored, competitive day.  Strangely enough “Corbo” was the winner for the day taking out over all high gun and the tower shoot high gun. With results like that it’s amazing that we don’t have people lining up for set-up duties.

Other notable results over the 100 targets were John Starr with an impressive round of 24 to take out AA. A grade was Phil Craig. B grade Barry Dunn, C Grade Rodger Sands after a 3 way shoot with Josh Pederson and Brett Wills. Ladies was once again won by Robin Perkins and Juniors Oscar Mower.

Tower Results. A grade Terry Thistleton. B grade Steve Mc Intyre C grade Jack Fairfield-Smith.

The day was co-Sponsored by Snowy River Tyre Power Jindabyne. Ian Arnold joined us for a couple of rounds and thoroughly enjoyed himself. Thanks Ian for Sponsoring, Maybe with Corbo’s retirement next years shoot may need to be called the tyre shoot.

As usual thanks to the girls in the office, Brennie Reeve for her great work in the Kitchen and everybody who helped set up and pack up.

Next shoot 15th March “The Battue Challenge” sponsored by Cooma Cranes.
